The Mikhailovskiy Theatre ballet under the auspices of Farukh Ruzimatov is nominated for the National Dance Awards, the UK leading awards for dance and ballet
The NDA for the year 2008 were presented at a ceremony at the London theatre Sadlers Wells in January 25. «This is the unique award, and I believe that the fact that our troupe has got into the short-list is a great success», said Farukh Ruzimatov.
The prize for the Best Classic Foreign Troupe was awarded to the company New York City Ballet, though, according to gossip, it was till the last moment that the jury hesitated whether to choose the New York City Ballet or the Mikhailovskiy Theatre ballet.
Farukh Ruzimatov also took part in the awards ceremony.
